Little League Changes for 2025 Season

There are 2 updates to Downtown Little League registration and player eligibility per changes from Little League International.

*NEW for 2025* Kids who are Little League age 7 or below can participate in any Little League regardless of geography. They no longer have to reside of attend school in the geography of the Little League that they signup for

*NEW for 2025* Per above, older siblings of kids who are Little League age 7 or below can participate in the same league as his/her younger sibling regardless of geography

If your child meets the new eligibility requirements above, your child can register for Downtown Little League even if he/she does not reside or go to school in Lower Manhattan. The eligibility changes above covers families that reside in nearby neighborhoods in Manhattan such as Chinatown, SOHO, Nolita, Greenwich Village, West Village, East Village, Hudson Yards, Kips Bay, and Lowest East Side, Chelsea, Murray Hill, Upper East Side, and Upper West Side in addition to close by areas in Brooklyn such as Brooklyn Heights, Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Carroll Gardens, Downtown Brooklyn, Cobble Hill, Clinton Hill, Prospect Heights, Fort Greene, and Boerum Hill.
