TO ALL DOWNTOWN LITTLE LEAGUE PARENTS:
When you registered your child in the Downtown Little League this season you were required to accept a commitment to attend our Positive Coaches Alliance ("PCA") Parent Workshop this year. The workshop will be held on Tuesday April 15, 2008 from 7:00 - 8:30 pm at the Claremont High School Auditorium, 41 Broad Street and we expect to see at least one parent for each child registered in our league.
We are excited to have one of PCA's premier trainers in attendance to conduct the workshop. Positive Coaches Alliance has conducted thousands of live group workshops nationwide for over 200,000 youth sports leaders, coaches, parents and athletes. PCA trains workshop attendees to create a positive, character-building environment for youth athletes, replacing the prevalent win-at-all-cost mentality. You owe it to your kids, their coaches and your league to attend this workshop. A workbook will be provided so you can bring home these tools to help make your child's experience in youth sports more valuable. You will also gain insight into the training your child's coach will receive from PCA. Again, the details of the scheduled workshop are:
